PET PORTRAIT COMMISSIONS

“Once you have had a wonderful dog, a life without one’s a life diminished.”

- Dean Koontz

“Few of us have had a life which has been untouched by the love of a dog.”

- William Secord

“Cats are connoisseurs of comfort.”

– James Herriot

An oil painting can elevate and stir emotions to another level. That is why I believe that capturing your beloved pet is a gift to yourself or someone you love that is unsurpassed by any other medium. I seek to create a timeless work that includes painterly brushstrokes and impressionistic passages that raise the sense of time and emotions. If you are looking for a painting that shows every whisker and fine detail, I may not be the right
artist for you.

These portraits will not fade and will become heirlooms. I use professional grade fine oil paint
and materials. Paintings include Certificate of Authenticity.

Investment:

6x6 - $250

6x8 - $275

8x10 - $400

10x10 - $500

11x14 - $750

16x20 - $1050

How can I order a custom pet portrait?

To begin, send me a few photos of your pet. I use them as a reference to paint their portrait. I have the final say on the workability of the photographs provided and may request additional photos of your pet for color comparison and other details. You can send me a photo through my website in “order a commission” (See below).

Note: Only One Pet per painting for small sizes. However I may, depending on the project, be able to add a second pet to one canvas for additional charge. This is only available for sizes 11x14 and up.

If you live in the Houston, TX area, I can arrange to meet your pet in person and take my own photographs of your pet. I am sensitive to your taste and preferences and will work with you to select a composition that you will love and cherish.

Once you have approved the photo that I will be using, I will give you an estimated time of completion - I aim for 4 weeks, but that time may be longer depending on my commission calendar. I will let you know when you place your order.

*Client agrees to pay 50% of cost upon the artist's acceptance of the commission and 50% is due upon the client's approval of the finished painting.

The paintings are delivered unframed.

If at any time during the first stages of the process you decide, for any reason, that you are not happy with the results you are getting, you may request a full refund of all money paid, no questions asked. If at any time after the portrait has begun being painted, you decide that you are not happy with the results you are getting or the artist cannot satisfactorily fulfill the clients requests after 3 revisions, you may still request a refund, but the artist will retain 25% of the total Commission price for time and material.

Once you receive your finished portrait, it is not returnable and you will not receive a refund of payment.

By submitting payment for the commission , you agree to the refund terms. Please feel free to contact me for additional questions and information!
